Store Spotlight: Elizabeth Cotton

Written by Miva | Aug 19, 2011

For anyone who enjoys going home and curling up in their favorite pair of comfy pajamas, this week’s Store Spotlight, Elizabeth Cotton is the perfect store for you. Specializing in sleepwear for women and men, Elizabeth Cotton has been using Miva Merchant to sell online since the company was founded in 2006.

Made from imported fine cotton and other high-quality materials, EC’s luxury products are manufactured in New York City’s Garment District and carried in Neiman Marcus stores nationwide. They have also been featured in Vogue, InStyle, and in the “O” List of O, The Oprah Magazine.

“We needed something that was affordable, but yet could be easily customized,” says owner and CEO Elizabeth Allen. “As a luxury brand it was imperative that our website not be a run-of-the-mill template design.  We chose Miva Merchant because we felt it was the best combination of versatility and affordability.”

“We have had three different site designs over the past 5 years and the talented Miva Merchant designers we have worked with (Durrani Design and Phosphor Media) have never had an issue designing the site to our specifications within the Miva Merchant platform,” adds Allen.

Today, the storefront, which carries 25 products, including robes, caftans, pillows, blankets, and their bestselling and popular pajamas, is responsible for half of the company’s total sales volume.

“Miva Merchant is easy to work with,” says Allen. “The custom modules that are available (plus the ones that our designers have created) allow us to operate an ecommerce store that looks like a custom-built site, but isn’t.”
