FACT: They know how to have fun, too!
Nearly 100 Miva Merchant employees, family members and guests assembled one Saturday afternoon recently for the company’s annual barbecue, held at the home of Miva CEO Russ Carroll. This year the event was commemorating Miva’s 17 years of bringing ecommerce solutions to a cumulative 300,000 online merchants to date. The annual get-together lets staff mingle outside the work environment, where high work volume and physical separation doesn’t allow all employees to spend time together. Traveling the farthest to attend was Jen Ferraz of Miva’s Tampa hosting facility, accompanied by her husband and son; the youngest in attendance was baby Mia, new daughter of Wayne Smith and his wife. Said Wayne, grinning, “It was the best name, since my wife wouldn’t let me name her Miva!”
It’s not unusual for Miva to receive samples of our clients’ products as we design and build their online stores. But this year, Miva Merchant client, The Ramco Group Inc. celebrated their new Miva Merchant store launch by providing a trio of their high-tech Smoke-N-Hot Grills to smoke tender pulled pork and grill succulent barbecued chicken for the appreciative crowd.
